The construction process was planned in a way that allows the existing structure to stand while renovations are made. A new roof was built above the existing roof, this ensured the building remains weather tight and the school could function as usual.
During the initial stages of the build, ground contamination was discovered where the new lift was to be placed. Due to the risk of working on contaminated ground, the traditional spring-based car lift was changed to a magic carpet lift install which eliminated this risk.
