The Tomb of the Unknown Warrior is a true icon to the history of our country. ADC was very proud to develop this truly significant monument which was officially opened on Armistice Day in 2004 by the Prime Minster at a formal event attended by almost all of New Zealand’s dignitaries at that time. The event was headlined national news.
According to the National War Museum website the monument is thought to be the largest commemorative programme ever undertaken in NZ.
This particular construction project was a highlight for ADC in 2004. It included extensive paving and entrance way development, landscaping, lighting, construction, and the installation of a marble and brass mantle with pounamu inlay.
