This project involved a new Marine Service Centre including retail shops, showrooms and marina-specific workshops which were to provide a service and recreational hub for the local marine and boating industry and for the public.
The new Sea Centre also included a hard stand area and secure boat storage with internal boat servicing facilities. Excessively large bi- fold sectional doors were installed to allow full access for large boats.
Construction required large square concrete pours carried out in four separate stages so that the whole service centre could remain fully operational through out the build.
Decorative concrete pre-cast panels embossed with marina logo and landscaping work were required.
Construction involved extensive landscaping and an internal boat servicing facility with bi-fold sectional doors which were 8m high.
A Commercial retail space was part of the requirement as well as a cost effective concrete 3000m2 150mm thick boat service yard. The building was designed to accommodate the 50-ton travel lifter which can lift boats from shore into the service facility.
