Health & Safety
HEALTH & SAFETY and ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT keeps everyone safe.
At ADC we take the Health & Safety and well-being of our employees, subcontractors, clients and site visitors seriously. We have a comprehensive Health & Safety Plan, including relevant policies and procedures. We provide Site Specific Safety Management Plans and undertake regular site audits. Our people are suitably qualified holding Health & Safety specific NZQA credits and many have graduated with the Site Safe construction in Safety certificate.
Our dedicated Health & Safety Manager ensures we remain compliant with both legislation and industry requirements and seeks to be innovative with continually evolving systems and processes.
We are proud to claim that we make safety a priority at every level across all our projects and we require active participation by everyone working on them to adequately plan the work we are carrying out and to act safely at all times.
ADC has policies and procedures in place to comply with:
Health & Safety Site Specific Safety Management Plan
Prior to the commencement of the project, a comprehensive Site Specific Safety Management Plan (SMP) is always created. Along with this, each and every subcontractor working on every site is also required to supply their own SMP which is reviewed and approved prior to their scope of works commencing. Part of the review process is to ensure that all personnel on site are suitably trained, experienced, competent or appropriately supervised to undertake the nominated scope of works.
The SMP’s, once approved, are kept onsite at all times. All practical steps are taken to ensure staff, contractors and visitors are aware of the rules and Health & Safety requirements prior to the commencement of work. This involves each of the personnel to participate in a site induction.
To meet our commitment to the environment, we expect all employees to work in a manner that conserves natural resources and energy, prevents harm to the environment and manages waste responsibly. Our commitment to the environment is incorporated within our Health & Safety practices.
There are many environmental aspects to consider within our work, so for each and every project, consideration is given to special site requirements and environmental matters.
